Ros ToynbeeRoslind Toynbee, LLB(Hons), PgDip, DipLP, MCC
Lead Career Coach and Director, The Career Coach

Before becoming a Coach, Ros spent 12 years working in law, broadcasting and financial services. Among the companies she has worked for as an internal coach are the BBC, GE Money Home Lending and Legal & General.

For the last fourteen years, Ros has been coaching senior and high potential professionals in the UK and internationally to have careers which satisfy them intellectually, financially and emotionally, while making a positive difference in their chosen field. She also regularly gives workshops to the CIPD and networking groups on career-related matters, and is regularly interviewed by the media.

Ros trained with CoachU (Coach Training Programme) and Newfield (Coaching Excellence in Organisations). She is also an NLP Practitioner and licenced to use the Fireworks Career Change Programme. She is accreditated to the highest level with the International Coach Federation, Master Certified Coach.

She has a young daughter and lives in London.

Michelle BayleyMichelle Bayley
Associate Coach, The Career Coach

Michelle combines working as a coach with being joint head of communications for a government agency. Specialising in career coaching, Michelle has eleven years experience of helping people at all stages of their career to identify the work which is the best match and most fulfilling for them.

She also coaches people who know they are in the right field for them but may, for example, want to improve their working relationships or step up from management to leadership. She has worked with a wide range of clients with backgrounds including HR, medicine, law, IT, banking and PR.

Before becoming a coach Michelle worked for 13 years in PR, marketing and internal communications across government, including at the Cabinet office, Dept of Health, Defra and the Home Office.

Michelle trained with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and also has a professional coach accreditation (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF), coaching's professional body and is a licensed Firework Career Coaching programme coach.

She lives in Twickenham, West London.

Duncan MullerDuncan Müller
Associate Coach, The Career Coach

Duncan spent more than 20 years working across many roles across the creative and marketing industries. Now, as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, he helps unlock the potential of individuals mostly, though not exclusively, in these industries.

Specialising in career coaching, Duncan helps people develop their leadership skills, excel in new roles with greater responsibility and generally perform better at work. His career change
programme helps people better understand what they want from work, reveals a career with a better fit and creates an action plan into which they can move.

Duncan is accredited by the International Coach Federation as an Associated Certified Coach (ACC) and has trained with leading coach schools, such as the Coaches Training Institute, the Firework Coaching Company, the Leadership Circle Profile, the Centre for Right Relationship and Team Coaching International. Thriving when learning and developing himself, Duncan also holds various creative and marketing qualifications, as well as an MBA.

Duncan lives with Tracy, his wife, in Ealing, West London.

Lucy OwensLucy Owens
Associate Coach, The Career Coach

Lucy's coaching is all about helping people to thrive in their working lives. She enjoys all aspects of career coaching - from helping people facing a career crossroads to building confidence and impact in job interviews.

After a career as a BBC radio producer, Lucy started to coach people in the BBC in 2001. She then worked on leadership, management and team development at Sheffield Hallam University. And in 2011, Lucy set up as an independent coach and facilitator to focus on career coaching.

Lucy's coaching approach is an effective combination of encouraging support and honest challenge. She has regular coaching supervision, a certificate in NLP, and is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

She lives in Sheffield with her husband and two children.

Nicol ChaplinNicol Chaplin,
Associate Coach, The Career Coach

Nicol offers coaching for people at different stages of their career journey and places an emphasis on helping her clients understand and explore 'who they are' and 'how they show up' in the world. She believes that when clients understand what makes them tick they make better and more informed decisions in their career and life.

Before becoming a coach, Nicol worked as a marketing communications specialist and had a track record of turning corporate strategy into actionable marketing programmes with major international companies in financial services, telecoms, insurance and utilities sectors. Her passion for effective communication continues and sits at the heart of her coaching work.

Nicol trained with the Coaching Academy and is also licensed to use the Firework Career Change Programme. She has an MSc in Executive Coaching from Ashridge Business School and is accredited in the psychometric tool, Extended DISC. She also is a practitioner in NLP and is certified in stress management from the Centre of Stress Management.

Nicol lives in Ealing, West London with her husband and two of her children.


Tim FordhamTim Fordham,
Associate Coach, The Career Coach

Prior to becoming a coach, Tim worked for more than 20 years in the supported housing sector, with 8 years as a senior manager. He has also worked in the commercial housing sector and currently combines coaching with consultancy work and training. Specialising in life and career coaching, Tim has successfully worked with many clients to help them to reflect on and clarify their career goals and decide upon the next steps on their journey.

Drawing on 22 years of management, coaching and consultancy experience, Tim helps his clients to quickly get to the heart of issues and move swiftly to determine solutions and a positive route forward.

Tim is training with The College of NLP and International NLP trainers Association for an ILM level 7 Diploma for professional Executive Coaches and leadership mentors, combined with the INLPTA NLP Diploma.

A single dad of 4, Tim is well acquainted with the pressures of combining career and family life and is determined, in his coaching approach, to really get people to think about getting the right balance between work and the rest of their life.


Rachel VincentRachel Vincent
CV Writer, The Career Coach

Rachel has been working as a professional CV writer for the past four years, providing accurately and persuasively written professional CVs for a wide range of business sectors at all levels of seniority.

Prior to this, Rachel spent 12 years working in the City for a global financial publishing and printing company, where she was responsible for much of the recruitment. As a result, she has been on the receiving end of many CVs, so knows what constitutes an effective CV and the pitfalls to avoid.

In this role, Rachel also managed the typesetting, printing and delivery of prospectuses and other time-sensitive documents and was able to hone her writing skills whilst drafting and editing business text and training materials for the company.

Rachel holds a degree in English, a post-graduate diploma in publishing and print production and a certificate in proofreading and editorial skills.

She has a young son, Benjamin and lives in Sheffield.


Danny BermantDanny Bermant
LinkedIn Associate, The Career Coach

Danny advises professionals on how to develop their social media presence in order to get introduced to new employers and to develop their career. Danny helps clients identify the employers they want to target, and shows them how to use social networks such as LinkedIn to raise their profile and get introduced to those employers. Sometimes that means developing a social media presence from scratch, other times it means showing clients how to use their social media presence more effectively and strategically.

Danny has over 12 years experience in digital marketing, having set up his own consultancy in 2000. Danny works with a wide variety of clients ranging from professionals who are changing career to large businesses seeking to widen their client base.

In addition to 1-2-1 training, Danny runs in-company training sessions as well as open seminars in Central London.
